Ab und zu ein paar Geigen

Urlaub :-) Derzeit habe ich drei Wochen frei. Letzte Woche war ich in Ostfriesland und habe auf der Rückfahrt ein Lied gehört, dass ich bis dahin nicht kannte und gleich superschön fand. Dank Musikapp lief es die noch ca. 400 km bis nach Hause dann quasi in Dauerschleife. Wer es mal ganz hören möchte, bitte hier klicken. Da wusste ich dann auch gleich, dass Teile des Textes auf ein Layout mussten. Das passende Foto war auch frisch aus Ostfriesland.

Holidays :-) I am off work for three weeks at present and spent last week in East Frisia (the coast region in North West Germany close to the Netherlands). On my way back home there was a song on the radio I hadn't heard before but liked instantly. Thanks to my music app I played it almost non stop for the remaining 400 km. The matching photo was taken in Schillig/East Frisia. Title taken from the song: "What I need sometimes are a few violins to show me beauty so that I don't overlook it." Läuft - oder: Liebe auf den ersten Blick

Schon beim Anschauen von Sylvias Video mit der Vorstellung der Kollektion "Color Study" von Vicki Boutin hab ich angefangen mit der Bestellung. Das war Liebe auf den ersten Blick, und ich muss wohl von dem Papier noch nachbestellen. Das ist für mich so eine Serie, bei der man es so richtig krachen lassen kann. Mehr ist mehr! Wenn ich mir andere Layouts damit auf Instagram so anschaue, war ich eigentlich noch richtig brav.

Das Papier mit den bunten Kreisen war ja so schon toll, allerdings war mir mal danach, es nicht einfach in seiner ursprünglichen Form zu verwenden, sondern ein bisschen damit zu spielen, um den Hintergrund ein bisschen chaotischer zu machen. Das Layout erzählt zwar keine tiefgreifende Geschichte, aber es ist bunt und hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht.

Even while I was still watching Sylvia's video presenting Vicki Boutin's "Color Study" collection I started ordering. It was love at first sight and I will have to order more paper. This is one of the collections to really use a lot of product on one layout. In other words - more is more... Looking at other layouts with this collection on Instagram I would say mine is still quite restrained.

The paper with the coloured circles was aleady great in its original form, but I felt like not using it as is but play a bit to get a somewhat messier background. The layout does not tell any particularly interesting story but it is colourful and I had so much fun making it.

Auch für das Fellvolk sind Papierpizzas immer ein Ereignis. Fuchur hat das Knisterpapier für sich reklamiert und verteidigt es tapfer.

The cats also appreciate crafty pizza boxes. Fuchur has claimed the tissue paper and is defending it valiantly.
