Pass auf Kleiner

Der Hersteller Dunaon war mir bis dato völlig unbekannt. Letzten Samstag habe ich dann die Serie "Me gusta" bei einer Freundin abgeholt, die mir das Papier mitbestellt hatte. Ich bin echt begeistert von der Qualität. Die Papiere und Die Cuts sind auch ohne spanische Texte verwendbar, weil man entweder die andere Seite verwenden kann oder den Text verdecken auf den wenigen Die Cuts, die einen haben.

I had never heard about the Dunaon brand. Last Saturday I picked up their "Me gusta" collection from a friend who had included them for me in her order. The paper quality is great. There are Spanish texts included, but either there is a neutral B side or the texts can be covered up by something else easily. I also included some Felicity Jane goodies in my layout.

3 Hühner stehn im Walde - Cutfile-Crew

In diesem Monat hatten wir wieder ein Eigendesign als Aufgabe. Die Datei hat Emilie entworfen. Ich war mal wieder auf den letzten Drücker unterwegs, dafür hatte das aber den Vorteil, dass am Freitag unser Hip Kit Club-Februarkit endlich ankam und genutzt werden konnte. Bis auf den weißen Cardstock, das Seidenpapier und die Stempel sind alle Materialien aus dem Kit.

This month we used a cut file designed by a Cutfile-Crew member, Emilie. I created my layout at the very last minute again, but this meant I could use supplies from the Hip Kit Club February kit, which finally arrived on Friday. Apart from the white cardstock, the tissue paper and the stamps all supplies are from the kit.

Männerfreundschaft

Gestern hatte mein ältestes Patenkind, die Mama des kleinen Mannes, Geburtstag. Unter anderem habe ich ihr das Layout in einem schlichten weißen Rahmen geschenkt.

It was my oldest godchild's birthday yesterday. Among other things I gave her the below layout of her son in a simple white frame.

Ich hab Bohnen in den Ohren - beim Laufen. Das musste auch mal dokumentiert werden.

The German language has this thing about beans and sound. Someone who cannot hear (temporarily) has "beans in their ears" - only partially true when I am running now. And then there is the statement that every bean causes a sound. Normally this does NOT refer to music, but in this case it does, since this is what my new ear pods do. I was sceptical about the odd shape of these, as most standard in-ear headsets do not stay put and others are a bit bulky for running. It turned out that this weird shape is perfect for my ears, and the sound is great.

Blinder Passagier

Mein Fuchibaby, wie er leibt und lebt. Manchmal hab ich ja den Eindruck, er und Pebbles sind seelenverwandt. Er hat die gleichen Vorlieben wie sie was Schlafplätze und Spielzeug betrifft, viele ihrer Angewohnheiten und die gleiche Art zu schnurren. Pauline und Olli schnurren in einer Lautstärke durch, bei Fuchur ist die Lautstärke beim Ein- und Ausatmen unterschiedlich, so wie es bei Pebbles war. Und wie sie hat er drei grundsätzliche Lautstärken. (Stufe 1 - es geht mir gut, Stufe 2 - doppelt so laut, es geht mir supergut, Stufe 3 - zusätzlich noch mit Piepsen, ich will was.)

Und was sieht er da noch klein aus. Mittlerweile wiegt mein Riesenbaby mit 10 Monaten 4,5 kg.

My little stowaway... Sometimes I think he and Pebbles are soulmates. He likes the same sleeping spots and toys as she did, shares many of her habits and purrs in the same way. Pauline and Olli keep the same volume, but with Fuchur (and also Pebbles) the volume differs depending on if he is breathing in or out. Like her he also has three stages: 1 = I am fine. 2 - twice as loud = I am doing great. 3 - additional squeaking = I want something. 

He also looks so tiny in this photo. He is 10 months old now and weighs 4.5 kg.

Dieses Layout ist im Oktober beim Crop am Rhein im Workshop mit Barbara Haane entstanden. Die Gelpress-Effekte auf dem gemusterten Papier finde ich so schön.

I made this layout in October at Crop am Rhein as part of a workshop by Barbara Haane. I really love the gelpress effects on the patterned paper.

 

Zu den Layouts aus diesem Workshop (das andere zeige ich auf Wunsch der abgebildeten Personen nicht auf dem Blog) hab ich übrigens einen Kommentar bekommen, der mir sehr sauer aufgestoßen ist. Es ging darum, dass die Kommentatorin die verschiedenen Farbflächen auf dem Layout zu getrennt voneinander wirkten. Davon abgesehen, dass auf diesem Layout  meiner Meinung nach durch verschiedene Elemente Verbindungen hergestellt werden, fand ich es unmöglich, so auf einem Workshopkonzept herumzuhacken, wenn man nicht mal selbst anwesend war.

Ich gehe grundsätzlich davon aus, dass jemand, der ein Layout zeigt, das auch mag. Wenn es nicht meinem Geschmack entspricht, halte ich mich mit Kommentaren zurück. (Anders wäre das, wenn jemand selbst nicht zufrieden ist und nach Anregungen fragt.)

Aber in diesem Fall fand ich die Kommentare total unangemessen, sowohl mir als auch der Workshopidee gegenüber. Es ist völlig ok, wenn jemand diese Ansicht nicht teilt, aber ich wollte jetzt auch mal ein bisschen Zeit für Mimimi. Oder dafür, einen Anstoß für mehr Nettigkeit im Internet zu geben.

I also got a comment about the other layout from this workshop, which I am not sharing on the blog upon request of the people on the photo, I got a comment that somewhat shocked me. The person commenting critised in a not very objective or nice way that she considered the colour blocks as too separate. Quite apart from the fact that I think there are a number of elements creating a connection between them I thought it was really inappropriate to talk so badly about the concept of a workshop the commentator had not even attended herself and therefore didn't know anything about.

I assume that someone showing a layout likes it. If I don't, I do not comment, unless the person is not happy with what she made and explicitly asks for advice on what could be improved.

But in this case the comment was totally off, both towards my page and the workshop concept. It is ok if someone does not share this opinion but needed to rant a bit. Maybe this leads to a bit more nice behaviour online.
