I've got a déjà-vu. Just as I did years ago when I started scrapbooking I initially bought very little sewing stuff. I did have thread from sewing on layouts and just bought very little fabric for the first project - see previous sewing posting.
Ich hab ein Déjà-Vu - wie vor zig Jahren beim Scrappen hatte ich mir fürs Nähen ja erst mal nur wenig gekauft. Garn war vom Nähen auf Layouts schon vorhanden, also erstmal nur ein bisschen Stoff gekauft für die ersten Projekte, siehe voriger Nähbeitrag.
After the first sewing class it was clear that sewing will never take the place of scrapbooking it will still take some place for a while. So off I went on the Internent and at least planned more carefully than way back when I started scrapbooking. First I thought about what I still want to sew and what I need for it. Pattydoo is a great source of inpiration, as is Dawanda with its large choice of e-book patterns.

Nach dem ersten Nähkursabend war mir dann schon klar, dass das zwar nie das Scrappen verdrängen wird, aber immerhin mehr als eine Eintagsfliege. Also ab ins www - immerhin bin ich diesmal ein bisschen planvoller vorgegangen als damals beim Scrappen. Zuerst habe ich mir überlegt, was ich noch so nähen möchte und was ich dafür brauche. Eine tolle Inspirationsquelle ist übrigens Pattydoo, und auch auf Dawanda hab ich so einige Ideen in Form von eBook-Schnittmustern gefunden.

Below are my goodies from the fabric shop, which I want to use to make a gardening bag (for scapbooking) and some more pillowcases. The e-book pattern for the gardening bag has arrived already. Let's see how that works out. Unfortunately there is no class next week due to carnival, but I could at least start cutting.
Und das hier sind meine Schätzchen aus dem Stoffladen, damit möchte ich diese Gartentasche nähen (fürs Scrapbooking) und noch ein paar Kissenbezüge mit dem Karo-Stoff. Der eBook-Schnitt für die Gartentasche ist auch schon da, bin mal gespannt, wie das so klappt. Leider ist nächste Woche wegen Karneval kein Nähkurs, aber vielleicht fang ich schonmal an mit Zuschneiden.
