Das letzte Layout mit dem Augustkit:

Außer dem Augustkit habe ich noch Reste der Buchstaben aus dem Junikit sowie Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Pink und Mint verwendet.

Wer mal in Trier leckere Tapas essen möchte, dem sei Ferry's Cabana wärmstens empfohlen. Wir essen gerne zu dritt: Serranoschinken, Pflaumen im Speck, Scampis a la plancha, Riojahuhn, Patatas bravas mit Aioli, gebratene Champignons und Verduras del padron. Und damit sind wir in der Regel pappsatt (und duften nach Knoblauch). Viel mehr würde auch eher nicht auf den Tisch passen.

Wie zitiert Mama immer - "wenn ihr nicht werdet, wie die Kinder..." Gut, das macht sie normalerweise, wenn Papa und ich an Weihnachten Michel aus Lönneberga kucken, aber passt ja hier auch.

My mum likes to quote from the Bible "unless you (...) become like little children". She normally does this when my dad and I watch kids movies on Christmas, but the quote would be fitting here too.

Das Label ist aus der Kollektion "Sunshine and happiness" von Simple Stories. Das Stickerset war im SchnickSchnackSack vom Juli enthalten, es gibt das aber auch einzeln.

Und wenn ihr mal in Luxemburg seid: Kathy's Deli & Cupcakery ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Jede Menge Karten

Das Augustkit ist thematisch perfekt für Geburtstagskarten. Hier sind die ersten zwei:

Knastkatze

Da hat meine kleine Grumpy Cat doch glatt noch grummeliger geschaut als sonst, dabei hätte sie ja einfach wieder aus dem Wäschekorb raushüpfen können. Und außerdem musste ich die Wäsche ja gleich nochmal waschen. Wer hätte also grummelig sein dürfen?

My little Grumpy Cat looked more grumpy than usual, although she could have simply got out of the laundry basket again. In any case I had to wash the items in the basket again. So who did have the right to be grumpy???

Die ticketförmige Karte, auf der das Foto klebt, hatte als Text eigentlich "Birthday Fun". Mit dem verdeckten Stück gibt es demnächst noch auf einer Karte ein Wiedersehen.

Zum vorletzten Mal - The second last time

Sooooo schade, dass die Wise Guys aufhören, aber immerhin konnte ich mich mit allerhand Shimelle-Sachen aus verschiedenen Kollektionen austoben. Ist ja auch langweilig, wenn man die immer nur streichelt...

Such a shame that the Wise Guys will stop next year, but as least I got to use lots of Shimelle products from various collections. It does become boring to only stroke them....

Es geht schon wieder los - here we go again

Die August-Kits von Scrapabilly sind da, und das Kit des Monats enthält tolle Papiere aus der Serie "Party Time" von Echo Park, einen passenden Stickerbogen, kleine Alphas von Jillibean Soup sowie Die Cuts und Rahmen aus der "Carpe Diem"-Serie von Simple Stories und einen exklusiven Button.

Ich spoilere jetzt mal ein bisschen - hier ist das, was nach 6 Layouts und 8 Karten noch übrig war:

Ich habe diesmal die Layouts ausnahmslos auf weißem Cardstock gemacht, so dass keine kompletten Bögen für Hintergründe drauf gingen. Außerdem ist bei den Karten natürlich auch Cardstock dabei. ABER: Bekanntermaßen neige ich zu Materialschlachten mit Embellishments, und in Anbetracht dessen bin ich ein bisschen baff, was noch alles übrig ist. Vermutlich könnte man noch ein Layout draus machen, außerdem noch bestimmt 3-4 Karten. Aus den großen Buchstaben könnte man noch ein paar Wörter hinkriegen (Foto, Komm mit...) Zwei Karten sind nach dem Foto bisher noch entstanden, und vielleicht mach ich da noch spontan was.

Außerdem kann man dieses Kit trotz klarem Themenschwerpunkt auch prima für alle Arten von Layouts benutzen. Dass die Karten Geburtstagskarten geworden sind, hat sich angeboten, aber von den Layouts ist nur eins mit Partythema, und das ist nicht mal eine Geburtstagsparty.

Ach so, das erste Layout wollte ich ja auch noch zeigen - da nehm ich doch mal glatt das mit dem Partythema:

Übrigens war dieses Layout überhaupt nicht geplant. Die Fotos habe ich erst bekommen, als die anderen Layouts schon fast fertig waren. Sie kamen sozusagen wie gerufen.

The Scrapabilly August kits are available. The kit of the month includes great papers from the "Party Time" collection by Echo Part, a matching sticker sheet, small alphabet stickers from Jillibeah Soup as well as die cuts and frames from the "Carpe Diem" collection by Simple Stories and a Scrapabilly exclusive flair badge.

On the first picture you see what was left after six layouts and 8 cards. I used white cardstock as the basis for all layouts and therefore didn't need to use complete sheets of patterned paper. I also used cardstock for the cards of course. However, I do tend to use embellishments very generously and I am therefore quite surprised at all the leftovers. There is probably still enough for a layout and 3-4 cards. I could still spell some German words with the large letter stickers (Foto, Komm mit...) I made two more cards after taking the picture, and maybe something else will follow spontaneously.

Although the kit is themed again it is very versatile and can be used for all sorts of layout. Making birthday cards was kind of obvious, but I only made one party-themed layout, which is not even related to a birthday party and also shown above. It is about my friend and me taking until half past one in the morning to actually use the photobooth corner at her wedding.


Actually this layout was not planned at all. I only got the photos when the other layouts were almost completed, so they arrived just in time.

Apart from the August kit I used some pink and mint Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray.
