Es geh weiter mit den Sketchen aus dem Kreativsüchtig-Magazin - another layout based on a sketch from the German Kreativsüchtig magazine:

Journaling: Open house in ... - Louis was very ambitious and absolutely wanted to beat his personal crate climbing best with a perfect 10.

Professionelle Schnittkonstruktion?

Auch dieses Layout ist nach einem Sketch aus dem aktuellen Kreativsüchtig-Magazin entstanden. Trotz Abzügen in der B-Note (nur wenige ältere Bestände verbraucht :-) gefällt es mir gut. Ein paar der neuen Sachen von meinem Besuch bei Scrapabilly letzten Freitag kamen dafür schon gleich zum Einsatz.

This layout is inspired by a sketch in the latest edition of the German Kreativsüchtig magazine. Although I didn't do well on my goal of using up older supplies I still like it. At least I could use some of last week's purchases at Scrapabilly right away.

Journaling: Granted, it definitely looks different. But if there no professional available you have to do it yourself. And that's how Emilie eventually got her Christmas present on 19 April :-)

Ein UFO ist fertig geworden! Im Workshop von Kathleen Graumüller beim Crop am Rhein wurden drei Layouts gezeigt - eins hatte ich vor Ort fertig gestellt, dieses hier halb und erst jetzt fertig. Mit dem dritten hab ich noch gar nicht angefangen, aber das könnte ich ja jetzt in Angriff nehmen.

I completed a UFO! Kathleen Graumüller showed us three different layout at Crop am Rhein - I finished one during the workshop and half of the one below. I haven't started the third one yet, but will do shortly.

Kleine Dekoeskalation :-)

Das Foto is vom Crop am Rhein, das Hintergrundpapier uralt (ein Punkt für Aufbrauchen), die Vorlage für das Herz von Paige Taylor Evans und die Dekoteilchen hauptsächlich aus verschiedenen Kollektionen von Simple Stories. Ich finde es klasse, dass die immer farblich so gut untereinander harmonieren. Und auch hier habe ich wieder einen kleinen Schritt getan, meinen Bestand etwas zu reduzieren. Anbauen im Scrapzimmer is nämlich nich.

I guess there is a little embellishment explosion :-) The picture was taken at Crop am Rhein, the background paper is very old (one point for using up stash!), the heart template is by Paige Taylor Evans and the embellishments are mostly from various Simple Stories collections. I love how these are usually colour-coordinated across collections. Another point for reducing embellishment stash. After all I cannot easily expand my craft room.

Good Bye Chaosgeschirr

Nach dem CAR hatte ich, wie so oft nach schönen Crops, erst mal ein Motivationstief. Die Layouts aus den Workshops habe ich noch fertig gemacht, aber dann erst mal lange nix.

After Crop am Rheim my motivation was low, as it often is after nice crops. I finished the layouts started in workshops but then did not scrapbook for a while.

Immerhin habe ich es - Urlaub sei Dank - mittlerweile auf zwei Layouts geschafft. Eins habe ich ja schon gezeigt, hier kommt das zweite. Es ist nach einem Sketch aus dem aktuellen Kreativsüchtig-Magagzin entstanden. Diesen habe ich gespiegelt und statt drei rechteckigen Hochkantfotos zwei quadratische gewählt.

 At least I have managed to create two layouts during my holiday so far. Here's the second one, which was inspired by a sketch in the latest edition of the German Kreativsüchtig magazine. I flipped the design vertically and used two square photos instead of three rectangular ones.
 
Es war außerdem die Gelegenheit, eins der vielen Ys aus der Xannenxackung zu verwenden :-)

It was also a good opportunity to use one of the many Ys from the wood veneer letter box which included Xs and Ys twice but no Ps and Qs.

Journaling: 6 plates, 4 different patters, some in my cupboard since 23 years and even longer in my mum's, all chipped. It was time for new plates. Manuel's "Polterabend" was a great opportunity to see the old ones off in style.


FYI, Polterabend is a German tradition before a wedding. It is an informal party with family, neighbours and friends, including people who would not necessarily be invited to the wedding. The usual way is smashing porcellain (no glass!) for good luck, usually plates but also cups, bowls etc. Sometimes participants also smash toilets or wash basins and make a mess with shredded paper too, but that's not part of the tradition. The couple then needs to clean up to show how well they can work together. It is also tradition for the guests to mess up or scatter the cleaned up shards again so that the couple has to start over.

Endlich geht es wieder los, bzw. abwärts :-)

Taufdeko und -karte

Deko für den Taufkuchen des kleinen Nachbarn, mit der Cameo geschnitten (die Schiffe natürlich nicht).

I cut the banner for the little neighbour's baptism cake and the fish for the name tags with the Cameo (not the boats though, these were simply folded.)

More is more

Kitschig und "mit viel" sollte sie sein - und groß genug für viele Unterschriften von Kollegen, daher in 6x8" mit Einlegeblatt. 

The request was to make a wedding card with lots of embellishments and large enough to allow for many signatures. This is for a colleague's wedding, sized 6x8" plus an extra sheet inside.
