Man könnte sagen, ich habe viel mehr Stanzteile als man braucht. Andererseits, wenn sie schon mal da sind, dann sollen sie auch anständig aufbewahrt werden. Meine bisherigen Aufbewahrungen sind mittlerweile alle voll, daher musste eine neue her.
Es handelt sich um vier Streichholzschachteln, die ich mit dem Envelope Punch Board gemacht und dann zusammen gesetzt habe.

Das Papier rundherum stammt aus meiner Restekiste, daher
weiß ich den Hersteller nicht mehr. Die Kleckse sind mit IrRESISTible
Spray gemacht und haben daher ein bisschen Struktur. Die Stanzteile sind von
Fancy Pants, Minibuchstaben und Enamel-Herzchen von Websters Pages.
The paper around the box is from my stash, so I cannot remember the manufacturer. The ink splatters are IrRESITible Spray and therefore have a bit of dimension. The die cuts are from Fancy Pants, mini alphas and enamel hearts from Websters Pages.
Und weil so schön war, habe ich noch eine gemacht, diesmal mit einem Rest Papier der Kollektion "Fine and Dandy" von Dear Lizzy - der Hund ist auch aus der Kollektion.
And since I liked making the box so much I made another one, this time with leftover paper from the "Fine and Dandy" collection by Dear Lizzy - the dog is from that collection too.
Na gut, die war nicht geplant und ist auch nicht entstanden, weil's so schön war. Ich hatte einfach bei der ersten Box zwei Schubladen in der geringfügig falschen Größe gefaltet. Eigentlich sollten die bei beiden Boxen gleich groß sein, dementsprechend müssen dann auch die Einschübe für die Schubladen an den gleichen Stellen gefalzt werden. Bei der ersten Box hatte ich aber nicht aufgepasst und eine Schublade falsch zusammengebaut, so dass sie für die Hülle zu groß war und ich eine neue machen musste mit 1/8" mehr Breite. Dann wollte ich alle weiteren auch so "falsch" machen, habe aber bei zwei Schubladen den Fehler vergessen, also noch eine Box mit lauter "richtigen" Schubladen.
Es ist tatsächlich so, dass es trotz gleicher Größe für die Schublade und gleichen Falz- und Stanzpositionen darauf ankommt, in welche Richtung man die Klebelasche schneidet. Man kann das Papier entweder so schneiden, dass die Lasche später auf die lange oder die kurze Boxenseite aufgeklebt wird. Bei Kleben auf die lange Seite wird die Box geringfügig schmaler und lässt sich dann passgenauer in eine Hülle stecken, daher bevorzuge ich diese Variante.
Und weil die Boxen ganz neu und für mich sind, passen sie doch prima zu RUMs :-)
Ok, I admit that he second box wasn't planned and I didn't make it because I enjoy the process so much. I had just made two of the matchboxes for the first one in a slightly different size. Normally all boxes should have the same size, which means that the drawer parts need to be scored in the same positions. I didn't pay attention with the first box and assembled one of the drawers wrongly so that it was too large for its sleeve, therefore I had to make another sleeve, which was 1/8" wider. Then I wanted to make all others in the same "wrong" way but forgot the mistake with two of them, so I ended up having to create a second box with the "correct" drawers.
It does make a difference in which direction you cut the glue tabs even if you use the same paper size and scoring positions. You can either cut the paper to have the tab on the long or the short side of the drawer. If you glue the tab onto the long side of the drawer the drawer will be slightly narrower and fits the sleeve better, so I prefer this option.
