Ich hatte einen Plan. Aber der Plan war Sch... Soweit der heutige Phrasen-Beitrag.
Wie alles begann: Eigentlich wollte ich ein Carol-Kleid von Pattydoo nähen. So weit, so gut, an neues pinkes Garn war ohne größeren Aufwand dranzukommen, ebenso an Ösen. Stretchnadeln hatte ich noch und die Overlock musste auch nicht neu eingefädelt werden. Und dann habe ich das Kleid anprobiert. Ähm, ja. Es hat Gründe, dass es hier kein Tragefotos gibt.
Erkenntnis des gestrigen Tages: Überschnittene Schultern sind mal so gar nix für mich. Eigentlich traue ich mich nicht mal, es als Couchkleid zu tragen. Es könnte ja mal jemand an der Tür klingeln. Nee.
Aber immerhin war noch genug Stoff übrig für eine Mütze, ebenfalls nach Pattydoo-Schnitt:
Diese hätte tatsächlich eine Nummer größer sein können (habe die gleiche Größe wie bei Jersey geschnitten, obwohl es Sommersweat ist), aber sie passt gerade so und die Farbe gefällt mir super.
Dies wäre dann mein RUMS-Beitrag für diese Woche.
I had a plan. But the plan was crap.
How it started: I actually wanted to sew a dress based on the pattern "Carol" by Pattydoo. No issues so far, I could procure pink thread and some eyelets relatively easily. I still had some stretch needles and all threads were ok on the overlock machine. And then I tried on the dress. Well... there are reasons why I haven't posted a picture of me wearing it.
Lesson learned: I should NOT wear kimono sleeves. The dress looks so bad on me that I don't even dare to wear it for lounging on the sofa. After all there could be someone at the door. NO WAY.
At least there was enough fabric left for a cap, also based on a Pattydoo pattern.
I could have chosen a slightly larger size - actually I chose the same as I would use for jersey fabrics, but this is French terry. I does fit though and I really like the colour.
