Webwarenshirt - und etwas getrübte Freude darüber

Dieser Stoff lag schon mindestens ein Jahr hier, wenn nicht zwei. Zeit, ihn mal zu vernähen. Bisher hatte ich noch nie ein Kleidungsstück aus unelastischem Stoff gemacht - zwar schonmal eine Bluse, aber aus Musselin. Der Schnitt "Allie" von Pattydoo sah nicht allzu schwer aus und dank der Videoanleitung hat auch der Rückenausschnitt/-schlitz gut geklappt. Naja, bis auf die Tatsache, dass ich die Knopfschlaufe falsch herum eingenäht habe, aber da haben die Nähkursmädels schon ein paar Korrekturvorschläge.

I have had this fabric for at least a year, maybe even two, and it was time to use it. So far I have never made clothing from non-elastic fabrics - the only blouse I have ever made was from muslin (slightly elastic). The "Allie" pattern by Pattydoo didn't look to difficult and I even managed the back part - well, apart from the fact that I sewed in the button loop the wrong way, but the sewing class girls have a few tips for correcting that.

Das Tragefoto, was ich in der Pattydoo-Facebookgruppe veröffentlich hatte, hat mich aber endgültig dazu gebracht, keine Tragefotos mehr dort zu posten. Ehrlich, was stimmt mit manchen Leuten nicht? Wenn ich ein Kleidungsstück zeige, akzeptiere ich durchaus konstruktive Kritik dazu, aber unfreundliche bis beleidigende Sprüche in Richtung "du kannst sowas mit deiner Figur nicht tragen" finde ich zum K... Daher habe ich das durch das Nur-Shirt-Foto ersetzt mit Anmerkung dazu. Leider scheint es auch anderen Leuten mittlerweile durch solche Kommentare verleidet worden zu sein, Tragefotos zu posten. Und die Leute, die oft auch mitten im Glashaus sitzen, werden weiter motzen und mit Steinen werfen, statt vielleicht mal mit Vogelsand anzufangen. Da herrscht bei Scrapbookern zum Glück in der Regel ein andere Ton - auch ein Grund, warum ich die Papierschere immer noch der Stoffschere vorziehe.

I did post a photo of me wearing the shirt in the Pattydoo Facebook group, which has led me to the conclusion to never ever post such photos again. Seriously, what is wrong with some people? If I show something I made I will accept constructive criticism, but no unfriendly or insulting comments along the lines of "you cannot wear something like this with your figure", which I find appalling. I therefore replaced the original photo with the one below including a comment around what had happened before. Unfortunately there seem to be lots of people who faced the same issues and won't post photos any more, so people who should mind their own business will continue with their insults. Luckily such behaviour is less frequent in the scrapbooking world, which is actually one of the reasons I do prefer scrapbooking to sewing.
