Stifte

Im Januar-Kit von Scrapabilly war ein Stift, den ich noch nicht kannte, aber so gut fand, dass ich gleich noch eine Farbe bestellt habe. Das nehme ich jetzt mal als Gelegenheit, ein paar Worte über meine Lieblingsstifte zu verlieren. Ich habe auch noch andere bzw. diese in verschiedenen Stärken und Farben, beschränke mich aber hier mal auf die am häufigsten verwendeten. 

The Scrapabilly January kit included a pen I hadn't known so far, but I liked it so much I immediately ordered an additional colour. I take this opportunity to write something about my favourite pens. I do have others or other colours of those shown below but I will only cover the ones I use most frequently.

Der Übersicht halber gehe ich einfach mal von links nach rechts in der Reihenfolge vom Foto. Descriptions relate to the pens in the photo above, from left to right.

Distress Marker enthalten die gleiche Tinte wie andere Distress-Produkte (nicht wasserfest) und sind auch in den entsprechenden Farben erhältlich. Über die verschiedenen Verwendungsmöglichkeiten findet man bei Youtube unzählige Videos. Davon abgesehen verwende ich sie aber auch gerne, wenn ich ein Journaling in Farbe schreiben möchte. Erstens habe ich die Stifte nun mal für Mixed Media-Kram sowieso und muss dann nicht noch andere in verschiedenen Farben kaufen, zweitens kann ich damit auch relativ schön schreiben. Distress Marker sind in den meisten Scrapbooking-Shops erhältlich, z. B. hier.

Distress Markers have the same ink as other distress products. They also come in the same colours and are not waterproof. You can find countless videos on Youtube on how to use them. Apart from the more fancy possibilities I like using them for journaling in colour. They are in my stash anyway and this also means I don't need to buy other pens in multiple colours. My handwriting is also reasonably nice when I use them. Most scrapbooking shops carry Distress Markers.

Mit dem Pilot Frixxion Ball gerät meine Handschrift zwar gerne mal aus den Fugen, aber der unschätzbare Vorteil ist die Radierbarkeit. Auf Layouts verwende ich ihn in Schwarz dann, wenn ich keine einfache Möglichkeit habe, eventuelle Schreibfehler zu korrigieren. Mein bevorzugter Journalingstift ist er nicht, weil ich damit eben nicht so schön schreibe, aber in Blau nehme ich ihn oft zum Notieren im Kalender oder im Notizbuch auf der Arbeit. Es gibt ihn ihn verschiedenen Stärken und Farben im Schreibwarenhandel.

The Pilot Frixxion Pen is not the best for my handwriting but its great advantage is the fact that it can be erased. I use it on layouts if I don't have an easy opportunity to correct potential errors. It is not my preferred journaling pen due to the handwriting issue, but I do use it often for calendars or notebooks. There are various colours and sizes available in office supplies shops.

Der Uniball Signo ist ein auf Papier und Fotos gut schreibender und auch in weiß deckender Gelstift. Man sollte damit nicht zu schnell schreiben, dann wird das Schriftbild sauberer und man hat keine "Aussetzer" im Tintenfluss. Ich habe mir angewöhnt, die Spitze mit einem Stück Papiertuch abzuwischen, wenn ich viel drum herum geschmiert habe. Es gibt den Stift auch mit einer Mechanik wie Kugelschreiber, den mag ich in Schwarz lieber als den mit der Kappe. Meine Schrift ist mit diesen Stiften etwas unordentlicher als mit anderen Stiften. Man bekommt die Stifte im Schreibwarenhandel.

Uniball Signo is an opaque gel pen which works fine on paper and photos alike. The slower you write the cleaner the writing - writing slowly also ensures a continuous line of colour. I have got into the habit of wiping the tip with a paper towel, as mine tends to be smudged around the tip when I am done. The black Uniball Signo also comes in a version which looks and works like a standard ball pen, which I prefer to the ones with a cap. My handwriting is a bit crooked with this pen compared to others. They are available in office supplies shops.

Der Molotow One4All ist ein Marker mit Acrylfarbe und im Künstlerbedarf erhältlich. Ich mag den super gerne zum Art Journaling, und man kann ihn auch mal dazu verwenden, einen Schreibfehler auf einem Layout zu verdecken, wenn der Untergrund weiß ist. Der Stift ist nachfüllbar, deckend auch auf farbigem Untergrund und es gibt verschiedene Farben und Spitzenstärken. Ich schreibe damit etwas krakelig, was aber wohl auch daran liegt, dass ich die Stifte mit relativ dicker Spitze habe.

The Molotow One4All is a paint marker and mostly available in art supplies shops. I like it for art journaling in particular but it is also great to cover up errors on layouts if the background is white. The pen is refillable, opaque and available in many colours and sizes. My handwriting is not the best with these, mainly because I prefer larger pen tips with this one.

Der Dylusions Paint Pen enthält - oh Überraschung - Dylusions Paint. Meist verwende ich ihn im Art Journal, aber auch wie den Molotow zum Fehlerabdecken. Das Schriftbild ist danke der relativ feinen Spitze schön und es schreibt sich angenehm danit. Die Stifte bekommt man häufig in Shops, die auch Dylusions Paint anbieten.

The Dylusions Paint Pen contains - surprise surprise -  Dylusions Paint. I mostly use it for Art Journaling but also to cover up errors, like the Molotow pen. My handwriting is nice with it thanks to the relatively fine tip and the pen is easy to write with. It is often available in shops which also carry Dylusions Paint.

Der Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen ist ein Tuschestift und somit wasserfest. Man kann damit relativ gut auf Acrylfarbe schreiben, auf Dylusions Paint problemlos. Auf dünnerem Papier, z. B. in Planern, schlägt er wenig bis gar nicht durch. Ich habe ihn in verschiedenen Stärken inkl. Brush, wobei meine Schrift ab Stärke M krakelig wird. Daher verwende ich für Journaling meist nur XS oder S. Die Stifte gibt es im Schreibwarenhandel, bei boesner (da kaufe ich meine) und einigen Scrapbookingshops.

The Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen contains archival ink and is waterproof. It is quite easy to use on acrylic paint and very easy on Dylusions Paint. There is hardly any bleeding on thinner paper, such as planners. I have got the pen in various colours and sizes, including Brush, but have noticed that as of size M my handwriting gets crooked. I therefore mostly use sizes XS and S. The pens are available in office or art supplies shops and some scrapbooking shops.

Der Pigma Micron ähnelt dem Pitt Artist Pen in fast allen Aspekten. Meine Schrift ist damit aber schöner als der Pitt Artist Pen, daher habe ich mir verschiedene Stärken zum Journaling gekauft und ich übe derzeit Handlettering damit. Es gibt den Stift im Schreibwarenhandel in verschiedenen Stärken bis zu Brush und auch Farben.

The Pigma Micron pen is similar to the Pitt Artist Pen in most aspects. My handwriting is nicer than with the Pitt Artist Pen. I have therefore bought various sizes for journaling and I am currently practising handlettering with them. The pen is availalbe in office supply stores in various colours and sizes up to brush.

 

Der ZIG Wink of Stella ist der oben bereits genannte Stift aus dem Kit. Ich hatte einen in Pink drin und war total begeistert, wie schön man damit schreiben kann. Und: Er GLITZERT! Es gibt diese Stifte im Scrapbookinghandel, z. B. hier.

The ZIG Wink of Stella pen is the one from kit mentioned above. The one in my kit was pink and I was impressed at how easy it is to write nicely with it. And it has GLITTER! These pens are available in scrapbooking shops.

Der Sharpie ist ein permaneter Marker, der auch auf Folie und Fotos schreibt. Er stinkt fürchterlich (ähnlich wie Edding), erfüllt seinen Zweck aber hervorragend, und man kann damit auch gut und recht schön schreiben. Der Stift ist nicht so gut geeignet für Planer, weil die Tinte deutlich durchschlägt.

The Sharpie pen is a permanent marker, which is also suitable to write on plastic and photos. It has a terrible smell (similar to Edding markers) but is great for plastic and photos. My handwriting is reasonable nice with it. The pen is not really suitable for planners, as the ink bleeds through a lot.
